Rosie Perez

 Rosie Perez was born Rosa Maria Perez June 6, 1964. She is an American actress. Her first role in the role of Tina in Do the Right Thing (1989) was followed by White Men Can't jump (1992). Perez's performance in Fearless (1993) resulted in her an award nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress as well as other awards. It Could Happen to You (1994), The Road to El Dorado ((2000), Pineapple Express (2008) and Birds of Prey (2010) are her starring role in movies.





 Perez has been nominated for three Primetime Emmy Award nominations in In Living Color (1990-1994) as well as an additional Emmy nomination (2020-present) for her performance in the role of The Flight Attendant. Perez has appeared in stage productions on Broadway like The Ritz, Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, and Fish in the Dark. She also co-hosted on the ABC talk show The View during the series The View's 18th season.





 Childhood and early life



 Perez was born in Brooklyn's Bushwick on September 6, 1964. She was the daughter of Lydia Perez, a merchant maritime seaman, and Ismael Serano. [3][4][5The girl's name was Lydia Fontanez. Lydia Fontanez Lydia Fontanez, y Reyes was her mother. Her birth date was October 13, 1939 in Humacao. Her father was from Aguadilla in Puerto Rico. Her mother was married to a man 20 years older than her, Arturo Perez. After an affair with the father of Serrano, Perez's mother had already been blessed with five kids. Perez was born at the now defunct Greenpoint Hospital located in Brooklyn's Greenpoint neighborhood.





 Perez is among ten children brought up by her mother. Rosie as well as her siblings were raised in Bushwick in the midst of a slum, where their mother was detained for indefinitely long periods. Her mother was in jail when she gave birth to her second child. She was being cared for by an aunt afterward, as did her siblings, went through foster homes and group homes. They were often divided. She was put into a foster home for children and she lived in foster care in New York until she reached age eight. She was legally considered an ward of the State of New York until age twelve. Aunt and mother frequently visited her, and her father once unsuccessfully tried to take custody of her.
